Kalithea

Kalithea is a beautiful area that is only a short distance away from the center of Rhodes town. There you will find the famous Kalithea Springs and a lot of beaches for you to enjoy. If you want to spend some time on holiday, then this would be a great place to visit! There are also daily excursions from Kalithea beaches if you want to explore more. The Kalithea beaches are very clean and it is one of the best places to visit in Rhodes. The water is clear blue, and you can see through it, some people say the waters are magical! There are also lots of cafes around where you can get something to eat or drink if you get hungry.

Faliraki

Faliraki is a resort 13 km from Rhodes town. There are located a lot of luxurious hotels and a lot of restaurants and bars. Faliraki beach is an endless sandy beach with a lot of beach bars and activities like watersports and paragliding. Faliraki is quite a lively resort and hosts a lot of young people during the summertime. The town offers good night life with bars and discos open till the early morning.

If you are looking for a less crowded place, Faliraki isn’t the place you are looking for. However, if you want to spend your summertime with groups of young people and have good nights out till the morning that the right place for you.

Tsambika beach

Tsambika is a long sandy beach on the east side of Rhodes Island. It combines calmness with water sports and beach bars. There are also some Greek taverns if you want to eat something next to the waves. In Tsambika you will find all kind of water sports from parasailing and jet skis to the family with children playing in the beach.

The eastern part of Tsambika is a nudist area while the central and western parts are not. So Tsambika beach is divided in two parts. It is a great place for family to spend the day at the beach. It offers calmness and some movement which is perfect for playing with children.

You can reach Tsambika by bus from the city of Rhodes, car, or by boat from Rhode’s marina taking about 15 minutes until there.

Stegna

Passing by Tsambika beach and heading to the village Archangelos, you will find a seaside resort called Stegna. There you can taste the best seafood on the island in one of the numerous taverns.

The resort of Stegna is found at the end of Archangelos bay, between Tsambika and Agios Pavlos. It is an organized seaside resort with many taverns that offer fresh seafood. The visitors can enjoy their meals both in indoor areas as well as on the balconies overlooking Stegna beach. The beach has been awarded with the blue flag, a prize given by the European Union to beaches that meet specific criteria regarding water quality and services on offer.

After Stegna you can explore Archangelos village, where you will discover beautiful traditional stone houses as well as narrow streets and alleys.
